Break Thru razed a 155,000 square feet of building structure that housed offices, warehouse, and small data center. We were able to recycling concrete, steel, and Chicago common brick from this building.
Challenges and Fun Facts:
- This project gave us a nice view of the Illinois version of the Leaning tower of Pisa . (As of 2025 is out to bid for Demolition)
- Dust control was on the forefront of our mind. We were surrounded by other functioning businesses and a shopping center.
- We discovered an unmarked abandoned underground tank below the building. After discovering the proper testing, removal and remediation followed.
