Break Thru was contracted to demolish a 4-story building with a mechanical penthouse. This building was 66,500 square feet and was a relic of the day before online banking, housing dozens of clerk desks and multiple large vaults. This project was at the corner of a major intersection and adjacent to the local mall. Dust suppression was of the upmost importance.
Challenges and Fun Facts:
- The vault walls, floor, and ceiling were made of 2-foot-thick reinforced concrete.
- 2,800 tons of concrete were recycled.
- 750 tons of steel were recycled.
