Break Thru was contracted to demolish and remove 100,000 square feet of warehouse buildout. The space was originally segmented into office space, call center, large server rooms, and some open warehouse space. In addition to the architectural demolition, our crews also removed dock levelers, overhead doors, created new openings in the precast exterior facade, and provided slab trenching. Our crews successfully completed the project on time and without incident.
Challenges and Fun Facts:
- There was 60,000 square feet of raised access flooring that was throughout the office space, call center, and server rooms.
- The walls were over 20 feet tall (and above the sprinkler system), requiring careful removal throughout demolition to maintain the fire suppression system.
- All our skid-steers have clean Tier-4 engines. This maintained clean air for crews and building occupants working inside the building. Tier-4 engines also eliminates the lingering smell of diesel exhaust fumes during operation and after work was complete.
