Break Thru was contracted to demolish and remove a poured in place 35,000 square foot mezzanine in Montgomery. This mezzanine was stout and full of rebar, but nothing our crew could not handle!
Poured in Place Mezzanine Demo and Removal
The challenge of this job was this 35,000 sq. ft. we removed was just a portion of the mezzanine that otherwise was to be left in place. We separated the two portions and left what was to remain without harm.
Challenges and Fun Facts:
- Silica dust control was of focus on this project. You will notice in the pictures a orange cannon. This water cannon created mist in the air to capture fugitive dust. This helps with keeping our crew save from silica dust. A bonus, is that it helps keep the open warehouse cleaner.
- All our skid-steers have clean Tier-4 engines. This maintained clean air for crews and building occupants working inside the building. Tier-4 engines also eliminates the lingering smell of diesel exhaust fumes during operation and after work was complete.
